DoveSonicEQ — Graphic EQ, Smarter Dove AI, and Better Loudness Control Latest Update
September 2026
DoveSonicEQ now supports both Parametric and Graphic EQ, while Dove is easier to use and better at handling overwhelming game audio. Go to My downloads to get the latest update.
- New Beta — Own Gunfire Control: reduce overpowering first-person gunfire and other very centered self-sounds while keeping surrounding cues clearer. Try both versions and adjust the Strength to what sounds best in your game.
- New Graphic EQ mode: switch between Parametric EQ and an easier fixed-band Graphic EQ, choose familiar 5, 6, and 10-band layouts, and adjust gains with sliders or exact values.
- Optional Parametric conversion: copy your current Parametric curve into Graphic EQ as a starting point. The two modes remain separate and never stack.
- Two Dove AI modes: choose Dove AI Improved or Dove AI Classic. Your choice is remembered and can be changed anytime.
- Smarter loudness help: Dove can reduce Loudness when the whole mix or ambience feels overwhelming.
- More comfortable gunfire: Dove can now use Peak Control or Volume Lock to tame sudden gunshots, explosions, and other loud spikes.
- New Peak Control: an optional ceiling has been added to Improved Loudness, with stronger automatic protection at higher Loudness settings while quieter audio stays unchanged.
- Smoother spectrum display: the analyzer is now easier to read while you compare and tune your sound.
- Clearer AI responses: fixed occasional garbled characters in Dove's messages.
- General stability and compatibility improvements.
Latest across DoveSonic apps New
August 2026
The EQ apps are getting easier to keep current, share, and tune. Existing bundled and saved presets still work
offline, and you can get the latest build from My downloads when you want the newest app features.
- Faster official preset updates: I can now add or improve official game and headphone presets on the server, and compatible installs can receive those updates in the background without a full EXE release every time.
- Community Presets: DoveSonicEQ, NodeEQ, and AutoSonic can browse, search, apply, and rate approved presets shared by users. You can also submit a saved preset for review; Community Presets stay separate from the official factory libraries.
- More headphone coverage: the preset library now includes more Beyerdynamic models and Turtle Beach Stealth-series headphones.
- DoveSonicEQ Peak Control: an optional safety ceiling for Improved Loudness that gently catches sudden peaks such as explosions or gunshots after quiet details are lifted. It only turns extreme peaks down—it never boosts audio or changes your EQ.
DoveSonicEQ 1.1.14 - Dove AI, Improved Loudness and Valorant
August 2026
DoveSonicEQ's biggest audio-assistance update is here. Dove AI can now listen to a short
sample of your game audio, build a custom footstep EQ, and continue refining it from your feedback.
Improved Loudness gives you clearer control over quiet details and listening comfort, while this release
also adds full Valorant support and many more headphone-tuned game presets.
Go to My downloads to get version 1.1.14.
New: Audio Loops
- Compare EQ changes with repeating gameplay: play the included gameplay clips while you tune, or choose your own local video or audio file.
- Loop exactly what matters: mark the section you want to repeat so footsteps, dialogue, music or other sounds are easy to compare. Your media stays on your PC.
New: Freq Zone Labels
- Understand the graph more easily: optional Gaming labels show common footstep qualities and problems such as masking, boom, mud, harshness and fatigue across broad frequency ranges.
- Switch for music: choose Music for familiar tonal regions such as sub-bass, warmth, vocals, presence, clarity and air. The labels are a visual guide only and never change your EQ or audio.
New: Let Dove Listen
- Build a footstep EQ from your game: play the scene you want to improve and Dove can analyze eight seconds of game audio, then create and apply a custom starting EQ.
- Easy to find: open Game AutoEQ Builder and choose the heavily recommended Let Dove Listen option.
- Keep refining naturally: tell Dove if footsteps are still buried, the sound is harsh, or the mix feels too loud and it can adjust the result.
- Private local capture: the short audio analysis happens on your PC; raw game audio is not uploaded or saved.
- Dove AI Standard — Up to 12/day and 36/week.
Dove AI Plus — Up to 40/day · One shared message count · 30 days · $4.99. Usage is shared between Classic and Improved. Standard includes two Dove Listens/day; Plus includes five/day.
New: Dove AI Audio Assistant
- Talk naturally: tell Dove your game, headphones and what you want to hear more clearly. Short follow-ups such as "still too harsh," "more footsteps," or "a little louder" work naturally.
- Applies supported changes for you: Dove can load presets, adjust EQ and Loudness Equalization, control bypass, reset supported settings and refine the active sound from your feedback.
- Factory-first game setup: Dove starts with DoveSonicEQ's proven factory game presets, then helps refine them to your taste or offers a matching headphone-tuned alternative when one is available.
- Smarter preset knowledge: Dove searches the complete factory and headphone-specific catalog before saying that a preset is unavailable, and understands common model-name variations.
- Listening-based refinement: say that footsteps are buried, bass is overpowering, dialogue is unclear, or gunfire is harsh and Dove can adjust the current setup immediately.
- Clearer, shorter answers: responses focus on what changed and what you should listen for, without repeatedly explaining technical verification or save status.
- Conversation continuity: closing the Dove chat window no longer clears the conversation. It remains available until you start a new chat or completely close DoveSonicEQ.
- Multilingual conversation: Dove can understand and respond naturally in supported languages without relying on an English-only keyword gate.
- Honest local control: Dove confirms the final tool state before claiming a change was applied and asks what you mean when an audio or analyzer report is unclear.
Improved Loudness Equalization
- Improved mode is the new default: a redesigned quiet-detail system focused on bringing up useful game cues without applying the same lift to deep rumble or extreme treble.
- Focused 100 Hz-10 kHz processing: Improved and Custom modes lift the useful cue range while frequencies below and above it pass through without loudness boosting.
- Familiar percentage control: the main slider remains simple to use, and Dove now starts most game setups at a comfortable 48% that can be raised or lowered after listening.
- Classic mode remains available: switch back to the familiar original loudness behavior whenever you prefer it.
- New Custom mode: directly adjust the quiet floor, where boosting stops, maximum lift and response speed, with practical starting-point presets included.
- Independent Volume Lock: optionally place a separate peak ceiling after your audio chain to control loud spikes while leaving audio below the ceiling unchanged.
- Smarter Dove adjustments: Dove can raise Loudness Equalization when footsteps or quiet cues need more lift and lower it when the entire mix feels too loud or crowded.
Valorant and expanded gaming support
- New Valorant factory preset: get a competitive Valorant starting point even when you do not use a headphone-specific profile.
- Valorant V1 and V2 targets: both target families are included for Game AutoEQ and supported custom workflows.
- More headphone-tuned choices: Valorant V1/V2 profiles are included across 74 supported headphone and headset models.
- General presets for unsupported games: when a game has no dedicated family, Dove starts with a suitable General Footsteps factory preset instead of forcing an aggressive target match.
- Safer optional custom matching: if you explicitly request a headphone-tuned game EQ and no finished preset exists, Dove can use an available headphone measurement and game target within controlled frequency and gain limits.
- Call of Duty coverage: Call of Duty, Black Ops and Modern Warfare requests can use the Warzone preset family as a practical same-engine starting point.
- Tipsy M1/M3 workflow: the factory game presets remain the recommended first choice for the Tipsy reference models they were developed with.
Better setup and troubleshooting
- Dove can inspect whether Equalizer APO appears attached to the correct device and offer to open the Configurator for you when manual attachment is needed.
- Dove will not automatically attach or detach audio devices, keeping those system-level choices under your control.
- Unclear reports such as "audio isn't showing" are clarified before Dove assumes an analyzer, routing or inaudible-EQ problem.
- Additional stability improvements include safer chat-window handling, stronger crash protection and compatibility with older DoveSonicEQ builds.
DoveSonicEQ — Meet Dove, Your AI Audio Assistant Major Update
July 2026
This is the biggest DoveSonicEQ update yet. Dove is a built-in audio expert you can talk to naturally.
Tell Dove what you play, what headphones you use, what sounds wrong, or what you want to hear more clearly,
and it can inspect DoveSonicEQ, recommend a setup, and handle supported changes directly.
Go to My downloads to install the latest build.
Find and apply the right setup
- Set up games conversationally: ask for the best Warzone, Apex Legends, Rainbow Six, PUBG, CS2, or general competitive settings without working through every control yourself.
- Searches factory presets first: Dove checks DoveSonicEQ's included game presets before building something new, giving you a fast, proven starting point.
- Uses headphone-tuned gaming presets: tell Dove your headphone or headset model and it can look for matching game profiles, including model-name variations such as “Cloud 3” and “Cloud III.”
- Compares available choices: Dove can explain the differences between tuned, untuned/default, competitive, balanced, natural, and immersive options.
- Applies supported settings directly: load presets, adjust Loudness Equalization, control bypass and supported processing options, apply changes, reset, or undo through normal conversation.
- Smarter quiet-detail setup: Dove understands when Loudness Equalization can help lift footsteps and other quiet cues, while still considering gunfire comfort and overall balance.
Create and refine custom EQs
- Build a new EQ from scratch: describe the game, headphones, and sound goal, and Dove can generate compatible parametric EQ bands and apply them inside DoveSonicEQ.
- Refine by listening: say “footsteps are still too quiet,” “gunshots are harsh,” “there is too much bass,” or “voices sound thin,” and Dove can adjust the active tuning from your feedback.
- Keep tuning natural: Dove can ask useful follow-up questions instead of forcing you through a rigid setup wizard.
- You decide when to save: test and refine a generated EQ first, then ask Dove to save it when you are happy with the result.
- Preamp stays intentional: Dove does not automatically create headroom or preamp changes while generating and refining a custom EQ, unless you specifically request a preamp adjustment.
Troubleshoot DoveSonicEQ and Equalizer APO
- Diagnose “I can't hear any changes”: Dove can inspect the current DoveSonicEQ state and guide you through the most likely causes.
- Check Equalizer APO attachment: identify common cases where EAPO is not installed, not attached to the selected device, disabled, or using the wrong output.
- Inspect the active EAPO configuration: review relevant configuration files for conflicting includes, bypasses, duplicate processing, or non-DoveSonic entries that may interfere with the audio chain.
- Explain what is active: ask Dove to summarize the current preset, EQ bands, loudness setting, bypass state, and other supported DoveSonicEQ controls.
- Safe local control: Dove can only use approved DoveSonicEQ actions. It cannot run arbitrary commands or browse unrelated files on your PC.
Simple, natural, and built into the app
- Open Dove: Audio Assistant, type what you need, and continue the conversation while listening and refining.
- Dove AI Standard — Up to 12/day and 36/week · Two Dove Listens/day.
- Dove AI Plus — Up to 40/day · One shared message count · Five Dove Listens/day · 30 days · $4.99, with no automatic renewal. Usage is shared between Classic and Improved.
